This week’s mood board packs a punch combining an earthy color palette with a Mid-Century Modern flare. With rich greens and warm terracotta shades of brown, this kitchen, living space, and bath design oozes serenity with touches of both rustic and contemporary elements. Keep on reading to learn more about some of the products that we find most exciting within this board!
One of our favorite designs from Cambria for the past couple of months; the “Montaaj” slab, available in both a satin or high-gloss finish, perfectly softens the kitchen space full of deep chocolatey brown hues seen within the rugged brick tile on the backsplash and within the cabinetry. Likewise, transitioning into the bathroom, the brand new “Cardosia” collection from Happy Floors in the color “River Rock” blends beautifully with “Montaaj” in a massive 48" x 110" format which allows for minimal grout lines and is the biggest tile format that Happy Floors has released to date. As we’ve slowly began noticing a shift from marble to more simplified stone surfaces over the past couple of months, we are anxious to show off this new collection which seems to combine the best of both worlds.
Sticking with elements seen throughout the bathroom of this design, one of our key tips on picking tile flooring to coordinate with countertops and cabinetry is to go a couple of shades lighter or darker than the color of your cabinetry. As such, we found that the star and cross tile from MLW’s new “Marmol” collection bridges beautifully between the cabinetry and shower tile, subtly mimicking the delicate marble veins seen on the shower walls while keeping synergy between the more rustic and contemporary elements combined throughout this design.
Finishing off this week’s post with the star of this master bath is the “Biscayne” free-standing tub from Hydro Systems. This tub is a dream to behold with its modern twist on the classic soaking tub shape combining soft curves and contemporary clean lines in a way that beckons serenity into the space similar to what one would see in a high-end spa. Likewise, the “Biscayne” tub comes with many optional therapy additions from Hydro Fusion which maintains your desired water temperature for however long you desire, to Thermal Air Therapy and Hydro Indulge which utilizes “micro-bubbles” to exfoliate your skin. We highly recommend also checking out Hydro Systems’ “Ston” and “Designer” collection tubs if you are interested in the “Hydro Fusion” feature as it is one of the options included in the Winter Promotion running through the end of March, where you can save up to $2,900 in tub add-ons with any purchase from either collection.
