This design is inspired by the comforting feeling that the season of Autumn evokes, making use of soothing colors like the chocolatey browns seen in the countertops and cabinetry, along with deep burgundy accents, which are emphasized by the hints of gold in the hardware and lighting. By meshing contemporary style with vintage inspired pieces, each of these rooms ooze a sense of unpretentious luxury, where each piece compliments one another without any detail being overshadowed.
Complimenting the antique finish of the kitchen bridge faucet and the tones throughout the countertops, Bocchi’s “Sotto” 32" fireclay sink in “Matte Brown” perfectly highlights the deep mocha swirls seen throughout the countertops, making it an excellent pairing for the color scheme of this design, whereas opting for stainless steel or white fireclay would distract from the existing color palette of the room. For those unfamiliar with fireclay, it boasts an excellent resistance to chips and scratches in addition to being easy to clean due to its non-porous nature. All of this being said, fireclay sinks are great options for anyone who prioritizes craftsmanship and design, as they can come in various colors and offer an added plus of being highly resistant to heat and stain absorption for avid chefs.
Moving into the bathroom, the stacked tile in the color “Grape” from Cancos Tile & Stone adorns the vanity wall and is a spectacle to behold, appearing even more vivid against the gold mirror and faucet. Adding accent walls of tile such as this in an otherwise monochromatic bathroom, is a great way to modernize a space for anyone interested in simple and cost-effective renovation projects.
Lastly, Daltile’s “Antico Scuro” collection of marble debuts tile in a stunning mocha brown with delicate tracings of white crackling through each piece, also available in matching mosaic sheets, as displayed in this design. The “Antico Scuro” collection seemed like an obvious choice for this design, adding a sophisticated touch without overwhelming the rustic textures and finishes throughout the space.
